Which format should I use?

CODE128 works for any alphanumeric string and is the most versatile. EAN13 and UPC are for retail products and require specific digit counts. CODE39 is common in logistics and supports letters and digits. ITF14 is used for shipping containers.

Why does EAN13 show an error?

EAN13 requires exactly 12 or 13 digits. The 13th digit is a check digit calculated from the first 12. Enter 12 digits and JsBarcode will calculate the check digit automatically.

Can I use the SVG in print materials?

Yes. SVG is a vector format that scales to any size without pixelation, making it ideal for print. Import the SVG into Illustrator, InDesign, or any vector-capable tool.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. JsBarcode runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted.
